Bedrock Discovers Security Vulnerability Related to UniBTC
On September 27, multi-chain liquidity re-staking protocol Bedrock announced through its Telegram channel that it has identified a security vulnerability involving uniBTC. To safeguard users and their assets, the team has temporarily paused the contract. They reassured the community that the Bitcoin held in the custodial wallet remains secure, despite the situation.
The estimated loss resulting from the breach is around $2 million. In response to the vulnerability, Bedrock is actively collaborating with decentralized exchanges (DEX), security audit teams, and partner projects to revoke permissions associated with the affected contracts. For permissions that cannot be revoked, the team plans to blacklist the corresponding wallet addresses to prevent further issues.
