FTX Set to Disburse $16 Billion to Creditors in Q4, Likely Boosting Crypto Assets

As reported by Odaily, Zhu Su, co-founder of Three Arrows Capital, has revealed that FTX is expected to distribute $16 billion to its creditors in the fourth quarter of 2024. Although it’s unlikely that all of these funds will flow back into the cryptocurrency market, Zhu believes this considerable sum could still have a notable positive effect on digital asset prices.

FTX has indicated its intention to return between $11 billion and $16 billion to creditors within 60 days following the approval of its reorganization plan. A key hearing is set for October 7, and if the plan is sanctioned, distributions could begin as early as December 7, 2024. This capital injection is anticipated to positively impact various cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and SOL, as many creditors may choose to reinvest in their favored tokens or exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
