Decentralized identity project Worldcoin has announced the expansion of its Orb verification services to Guatemala, Poland, and Malaysia, according to PANews. This innovative verification process, which involves iris scanning, has been enhanced with a new feature called Face Auth.

Face Auth is part of the World ID suite, allowing applications to confirm that the individual using the ID is the same person authenticated through the Orb device at a Worldcoin center. This feature utilizes data stored on the user’s phone, ensuring data privacy and mitigating risks associated with stolen devices. The expansion aims to enhance secure identity verification across diverse regions, further establishing Worldcoin’s presence in the global market.
